I had tonsils removed 24yrs ago?and now have constant sore throats again.
I had my tonsils adnoids and gromits all done when I was 6yr old due to constantly being unwell. After I had the operations and recovered it was great, I used to get odd sore throat like everyone but never serious or often. But recently in the last 6 months I have been suffering again with constant sore throats and some very severe. This has begun to concern me and I have been to my doctor about it,he says it could be an allergy, but I don't think so as I suffer from hay fever and take allergy medication regularly. He has referred me to go and see and ENT surgeon to look at it in more detail, What do you think this could be and why is it happening after so long?

As we get older we often find we have more allergies than before, plus with today's environment there is more in the air to harm us ( esp in some areas)

So yes, it is worth a medical check

My son had his tonsils and adenoids removed a week ago and we have just found a rash on his feet and buttocks. He said it itches a little, and it is red and bumpy. He was in the hospital for 2 days for dehydration, but he was not given any different meds or anything.
