So sorry to hear about the sad news. What were your signs of an Ectopic Pregnancy? What were you experiencing. How did you know you had one? I think the best thing to do is to keep trying. Because a woman only releases one egg a month during ovulation there is only a 25-30% chance of pregnancy actually occurring. And a healthy couple should be able to conceive within 4 months. Keep in mind that woman over the age of 30 have a better chance of becoming pregnant than someone who is only 20 years of age. I am 23 and also trying to conceive. My period is now a week late but all of my pregnancy tests have been coming up negative. But this could very well be that my HCG levels are not high enough. Which may be your issue as well. Keep trying and watching for signs. No one knows your body better than you do. If nothing changes in the next few weeks-months go into your doctor and see what he/she has to say. Almost all healthy young couples become pregnant within a year. If within that year you do not become pregnant after trying for that long inquire about a gyno or infertility office. Hope this helps :)

No, it had nothing to do with not taking care of yourself. That pregnancy was doomed if it was indeed ectopic. Did your doctor explain what an ectopic pregnancy is?
From Ectopic Pregnancy --
There is no way to save an ectopic pregnancy. It cannot turn into a normal pregnancy. If the egg keeps growing in the fallopian tube, it can damage or burst the tube and cause heavy bleeding that could be deadly. If you have an ectopic pregnancy, you will need quick treatment to end it before it causes dangerous problems.
I wish you the best in getting pregnant again.

You're welcome. :) And I agree with the above written. Its not about whether you were taking care of yourself or not. An ectopic pregnancy is when a fertilized egg grows on the outside of the uterus rather than in the wall of it where it is supposed to. With an ectopic pregnancy, the baby cannot survive and that's when they need to remove it as soon as possible to keep your health in best condition. I am so sad to hear this though. It must have been so hard on you and I can't imagine. My boyfriend and I are trying to conceive our first right now. I am now 8 days late and starting symptoms but every test I have taken is negative. I am having a blood test on Monday to determine if I am or not. I am never usually late and it may just be too early to tell right now if I am. Best of luck hun and if you have anymore questions, just ask. :)
