    My boyfriend of nearly 4 yrs just dumped me by text,
    Hi please help. He has just dumped me by text. Nearly four years we were going out. He upset me Wednesday night and I left a message on his home phone saying how upset I was. I am 49 and he is 54. He text me Saturday saying he had had enough and that's it! Meaning its over. What do I do??

    He dumped you but you can keep your dignity and self respect by leaving him alone and let the dust settle on this.

    When you get dumped... by TEXT, you ignore the fool, keep the happy memories and plan on making new, better memories with some one else.

    Same thing happened to me after we had an altercation the night before. I'm not sure the nature of your fight or whether you two had been having problems but if my boyfriend is going to bail when we have a minor argument then I'm donezo too. What is your boyfriend going to do when something major happens because inevitably life throws us curve balls. I would listen to the last post and go on your merry way. I made the mistake of calling and trying to mend things when I should've just put it to rest. In fact, I joined this site to get advice and try to help others by sharing the lessons I've learned.
