My Landlord will not accept my rental payment!
Hi my landlord is in violation of my rights as a tenant. He has told me to move out because I have demanded repairs be made and he told me to move out because I have made to many requests for repairs and that he is not going to take my rent. I have no deadbolts, smoke detectors, cold water in bathroom, and I have a rodent (rat) that gets into my kitchen silverware drawer and leaves droppings! BIG DROPPINGS! He is Asian and it is very hard to communicate with him. He will not accept my certified letter so I delivered a letter via person and he screamed at me to move out and that I have one week to move. Last Saturday his son hand delivered a letter for me to move out in two weeks while snapping pictures of a box that was on my back porch and a lighter on my front porch and said I was in violation of trash and flammable objects. I do not know exactly what to do as I am a single, disabled, mother, that is just coming out of an abusive relationship and I have planned on staying here until my son graduates in 3 years. Any help, other than sue him at the JP's office? Thanks

I would plan on moving because three years with this landlord will be hell. However, you don't say when your lease expires. That is a key piece of info. He can't evict you for the reasons stated plus he needs to give more than 2 weeks notice.
You need to document all the repairs and requests. Let him try to take you to court and you present your proof. And proof that you tried to pay.
If he tries to force you out, that is an illegal eviction and you can sue.

If you are not on a lease, he may evict you, so you need just to plan on moving, you should be glad to, if things are this bad.
