    Father's visa
Hello there, I want to ask my father to support me from India. We have come to know that fact finding hearing for my daughter's injury case is going to be in September. So, I want at least one of my family member to be here to support me during this difficult and stressful time.
My father had applied for his visitor's visa in 2010, but it got rejected. And my father didn't show my status at that time, since I was fleeing domestic violence and was away from my husband's family and also I was on spouse visa at that time. Now, I have got indefinite leave. Please advice what can be done in this case.

You need an Immigration Attorney. You have very little time and need to start the process immediately (although I doubt there is actually enough time to obtain the necessary visa).

The fact finding hearing part of a personal injury case is not upsetting. All sides (in theory) tell the truth. Hasn't your Attorney reassured you?

EDIT: I now realize you are in the UK, not the US. My advice about getting an Attorney remains the same.

Last month you posted about problems with your husband and injuries to your daughter (who is in foster care). Are you concerned about a personal injury claim OR a child abuse/neglect charge against you? https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/family...uk-664428.html; https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/family...-656871-2.html

You need to post all of the info when you ask a question. I find your other posts to (likewise) be confusing with bits and pieces added to the story as you are questioned.

Thanks for your advice. I will certainly consult an immigration solicitor. Well, I know I have been speaking the truth and I will win. Its just that too much is happening at the moment.

And also, I want my father to give me emotional support while here as I don't have any family or friends living here in the UK. My husband and his parents will be in court opposite me, though we both as parents are fighting this case againt Local Authority for our daughter's injury case. But since now the situation is different and I'm living separate from my husband and family so I need somebody on my side. Otherwise, of course I'm not at all scared or fearful of the outcome as I'm satisfied with my ownself for always speaking the truth including past domestic violence issues.

And from what you've posted you have been both brave and strong. I do realize you got out of a very bad situation. I don't think there is time to get your father's visa approved.

Is there someone to support you, perhaps from a Church group?

Thanks Judy for your motivating reply. Well, can't I try luking at home office website for any possibility to bring my dad here.
Well, I don't know if I will get any immigration solicitor on legal aid in this regard.
I still want to try as much as I can for my dad to come here. I can try getting help from women's aid organisations.

Good - glad you're working on it. The time frame, more than anything else, is working against you.

I know this is an upsetting time in your life. How are you doing, handling this? Again, it must be a difficult time.

I'm glad you came back and posted.
