Can anyone summon a spirit
I am worried that my niece may be opening a big can of worms. She has been summoning her deceased brothers spirit and she showed me a picture of him on her cell phone that was real. There was also another spirit I didn't recognize and he looked very unhappy. In another picture there is an arm and a hand reaching up to the table she was using and the lamp. It was real and I saw it. I am a very spiritual person and at first I thought she may be gifted. But now I am so worried that she is dabbling in something she has very little knowledge about. Can anyone help me to help her? Should I tell her to stop this until she has more knowledge about what she is doing?

Big problem here, as you are aware. She may not be calling up the spirit she wants to contact, and something else is coming through. Very dangerous situation. Sorry, but it could not have been a picture of her deceased brother. Spirits will not let themselves be photographed that easily.
I think for her safety you had better get her to stop this very unhealthy venture. She should stop altogether not only until she has more knowledge.
To answer your question, no, not anyone can summon a spirit, but what she has done is open a portal with whatever means she is using, more then she wants may come through. Tell her this.

Thank you so much. After reading what you said it confirms what I have been finding on other forums. She truly has pictures on her cell phone. I saw them and I am scared for her. She has been in a much happier state since his death because of this "spirit" appearing. But from what I found out, the place she just moved from was owned by some people that had rituals and called up spirits for others. She has been claiming to see ghosts for sometime and the family has just brushed it off saying she was on drugs. She proved it to me the other day with the pictures on her phone. Yes.. One face was that of her brother in a golden light. One face was of a man I didn't recognize. The arm and hand reaching up to the ritual place is very vivid. Four other people were witness to this when it happened.. I had her forward the pictures to my computer and phone. I have removed them as something inside me said to do so. My spiritual ear so to speak. She used a lamp and a pillow case over it There are candles and mirrors. In one picture you can see the arms forming from under the case. I saw it and I am a very spiritual person. She has been so happy since she believes she saw her brothers face. But the other one? Did not look like a happy camper. She did tell me that she was going to get more information before she ever does it again. Is it possible she brought bad spirits back with her? She is now staying with her mother ( my sister) and she said that it has been so negative in the house since she went there two weeks ago.

Did negative spirits come in? Yes, of course, as soon as a portal is open, then anything can come in. She has taken them with her to her mom's house. So you must convince her not to do this again. But she may not be able to close everything off she has opened/

Yes, your niece may be in some hot water... whether she knows it or not. From what you described in your comments I have no doubt at all she has some spirits around her. Any and every time you reach out into the spirit world you are opening up a door and handing out invitations. Is anyone in the family religious? For starters, she needs prayer... but she also needs to get to the point in her life where she realizes that.

I wouldn't fear her... but as long as she is involved in these activities I would keep a close eye on her. You can't fix her without her being willing to receive help. However, prayer through Jesus Christ is able to reach inside and change her. Don't let these dark forces claim her!
John 14:13-14 " And I will do whatever you ask in my name,so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."
