Rheem power vent no hot water
I have a rheem power vent and the burner will not ignite even setting the temp to max. The power vent comes on after shutting the switch off and on. The light on the front gives two quick flashes pause and one flash. Any suggestions would be a great help.

    Hi jfh

There should be an installation/repair manual on the side of the water heater that will tell you exactly what the two quick flashes mean. However, if the manual isn't available, contact the technical department over at Rheem/Ruud by calling them @ (334) 260-1500 You will need your water heater's model number and serial number when you talk to these guys (located on sticker on heater).

These guys should be able to tell you what is wrong and how to repair it or get specific parts locally, if needed!

You may also be able to find your owner manual by clicking on this link:

    Good luck!

I have a Rheem Power Vent hot water heater, model 21VP40-1. My problem is that it will not stay lit on the final start up stage. It operates OK, stays lit, if turned on manualy on the unit. I have replaced the gas valve. I am leaning toward the control module. Any advice?
