    First time drug possession and use
    Me and a friend went to a rave. We took extacy there. As I was leaving to go I had possession of this drug in my car as well. Home I was around the corner from my destination. There was a police checkpoints all over town due to this rave. At this point in time I was off the drug. I only had the physical symptoms such as dilated pupils but I was caught by surprise and could not find my I.D. I was asked to step out of the car. At this point I'm nervous. They separated me and my friend which was smart because our stories would need to match otherwise they'd know I was lying. They had me do eye tests and count to 30 sec. Needless to say they asked if I did extacy. At this point given the stressful situation and not knowing what they asked my friend. I decided to tell them I had done extacy at the rave and that I had possession of it in my car (I know stupid, I should have kept quiet, being my first time under this situation I cracked) They read me my Miranda Rights when I was cuffed in the car. At this point I should have realized as well to shut up but I believe they asked me again when I did the drug and I said at the rave. I was detained and released and had two charges: for a FELONY and FIRST-TIME OFFENSE. I am a full-time college student at a really good school with a clean record prior to this incident. I would like to know what the outcome of my trial could ensue and what I can do to minimalize this offense as much as possible.

    Retain a VERY GOOD Attorney. It doesn't matter much if your only physical symptom was dilated pupils. You used, you admitted it, you have serious charges against you.

    Everyone says it's his/her first time - that and they had 2 or 3 beers. That isn't going to be helpful because you won't be believed.

    You say extacy and not ecstacy. Were you using a knock off or the real thing?

    Hello u:

    With a GOOD lawyer, I believe the search will be found to be ILLEGAL. Just because there is a rave nearby does NOT give the cops probable cause to stop and search people...
