Laws on temporary "taking out of service" a handicap parking space for maintenance
We where doing maintenance on a parking lot and need to take out of service a parking spot for a day or so. What are the laws? I was just going to post a sigh "temporary out of service" BTW there are 5 additional spots that are still open.

Post another sign reading "handicap parking only" at another parking spot, for the duration of the maintenance.

If this a public lot or a private one? Where you resurfacing the lot or just using the space while you did maintenance?

But the most expedient method is to just mark another space for Handicap use.

Probably need two regular spaces to allow for handicapped drivers to enter and exit vehicle.
