Abusive adult children
Hello everyone, Im new here so if anyone is out there please help me out okay.
My adult son is 25 yrs old and is very abusive to me and everyone around him. He is constantly swearing , yelling, calling me names, and when he is really mad I'm very afraid that one day he is going to hurt me. I have tried everything with this child and nothing works. Even now his ex girl friend is verbally abusive to me and is harassing me constantly too. Help please I can't handle much more.
Thank you
Judy

How often do you see your son? In what context?

Does he live with you? Do you have to see him on a regular basis? Is he dependent on you for anything or is he on his own? Do you know if this stems from some type of drug or alcohol abuse? Has he always been this way or is it more recent?
I would let him know that you have had enough of the abuse, that you find it hurtful and disrespectful, and that you will be happy to speak to him again when he no longer treats you that way. Do not get into an argument about it, do not continue the discussion. You may indeed have to cut ties, at least for awhile until he matures and/or seeks help if that is part of the problem.

If he is stepping on your feet all the time the only way to stop it is to move your foot so he quits stepping on it. That mean, get him out or you get out of his way.
