So, arguing aside, is the Moen faucet safe?
I am disabled and a friend installed it for me for free, so I have no recourse and no way to reinstall myself... It tastes bad, but I just want to know if I should go to my bathroom to fill my Brita pitcher...

    HI Kdelphi

No arguments here... Moen is a great faucet! With that being said, however, I'd contact the moen technical department @ 1800BUYMOEN and discuss your specific issue with them. I believe they had a few faucets with hoses that reacted with certain types of water supply and produced odd odors. I also seem to remember that they will send new hoses out at no cost to you... friend will need to remove the old and install the new... hopefully, he can help again!

    Good luck!

Thanks... is the aerator the little piece at the end of the faucet? (the guy who kinstalled it ins not here) If you mean a pull out type sprayer, this one doesn't have one... I am going to try to call them, but, it looks like a lot of people have given up and bought a new one.. I cannot really afford to do that... but thanks for answering and I will giv e them a call.

Yes! The aerator is the little thingy On the end of the spout,(see image) Unscrew it and see if it helps. If it does then soak it in bleach for a few hours. Good luck, Tom

Hi Tom I found the site and registered but I still need my son to reduce the size of the pictures so I can attach them. He took the photo-editing software off my computer. I'll get back to you shortly. Thanks. Mark Ingham
