    Need another opinion
    Hello,

I am currently 33+4 weeks pregnant

Four weeks ago I attended hospital with abdominal pains and after a check up was told that the pains were most likely to be tightenings or braxton hicks and was advised to take paracetamol. The next day I spoke to my midwife as the pains were hurting so much it would reduce me to tears, she said that if the pains really were braxton hicks they should not be hurting so much. She asked me to provide a urine sample to be sent off for testing, the results came back a few days later showing I had Entrococcus, I was given a 5 day course of antibiotics.
Following the antibiotics the pains continued, the best way to describe them is like strong period pains which started just above the belly button area but have moved lower down.

I attended the doctors surgery for a routine BP and urine check to be told I had a trace of protein, leucozytes and +3 blood in my urine. I was then referred to the doctor who saw me and rang the hospital, they ordered a blood test to check for bleeding of the liver, kidneys etc. I was also given another course of antibiotics - different to the last ones. The blood results showed I was slightly anaemic and that I had some inflammation but as it was a non specific marker of the inflammation they couldn't tell me where it was.

My doctor advised me to go to hospital, which I did and they checked that the baby was okay I then had a fetal fibrenectin test which was negative. My BP was a little high and I had a temperature so was given some paracetamol and was able to go home. Two days later I attended hospital again as I was advised to, my urine showed +3 blood in it but BP was fine. The doctor this time said that the pains could be pressure from the babies head, and to continue taking paracetamol and also codeine which I have been prescribed for the pain.

For the last week I have had quite bad tummy pains but feel at a loss as no one seems to know what is going on. My latest urine test is fine showing nothing in it. I have had a watery yellowish discharge in my knickers so have had to start wearing a maternity pad as there is quite a lot of it. I also have a sharp pain in my clitoris area which I have researched online and thought it may be symphysis pubis dysfunction as that states you can have a sharp pain in that area. I am a little concerned about the discharge, and I also have a pain in my lower back and in my hip on the left side.

I am not doing very well really. I have made so many phone calls lately and had so many appointments I am afraid to keep calling. I was looking for another opinion??

    Can you help

    Thanks

My wife had similar symptoms. As you are pregnant the discharge can be common, stay hydrated and take D-mannose supplement for healthy regulation of urinary bacterias, cranberry juice as well. The abdominal pains can be braxton hicks, if this is your first child these pains can be alarming, and they are more and less severe for each woman. If you are moderately active, with your hips widening and drastic body changing, it can cause lots more stress on your lower back. In fact my wife actually bulged an L5 disc. Try getting in a pool and enjoy some weightlessness to alleviate some of the pressure. Don't be alarmed, your body is going through tremendous change, physically and chemically.

I'm a 26 year old male, no children, and single. First off, I'm not sure right now if I want to be with anyone. If that changes, I would like to find a woman who doesn't want children either. I have nothing against children, I just don't see myself as a parent. I've thought about sterilizing...
