    Absolutely no volume
I have a panasonic viera 50" TV which is 2.5 years old. When I turn it on everything is perfect except no volume. It's not the mute button... That was my first thought!
    Any ideas?

Do you get any sound from the speakers at all? A low hum? Do you see the volume bar appear and move when you try adjusting the volume?

Does this happen on all sources?

    Model number?

Do you have a DVD player hooked up to it? If so, do you get sound when using a DVD? Have you checked the Hdmi cable? Sometimes if that connection is loose you can lose sound with just the TV.

I was having the same problem, but Wally on here solved my problem. Are you connected to satellite TV? If so, you might try pulling the power cord on the back of the box for a few seconds, then plugging it back in. That fixed mine!
