    Im a resident can I claim a husband who lives in nicaragua
    Im a permant resident. I wanted to see what can I do to claim the guy I'm dating and looking to get marry. How can he get his resident.He lives in nicaragua.

    Where do you live? Nicaragua? If you are in the USA.. the short answer is NO.

    I live Tampa Fl. He lives in nicaragua. I just wanted to see if I can claim him I'm resident.

    He has to file for his own immigration... its no different than it is for adult children... you file and you wait... expect it to take years. A lot of years unless he gets lucky. I know several green card holders that have been trying to get their adult children here for years... and by years I mean 8+ years.

    You aren't even a citizen... and even if you were its not like you fill out a form and you get it quick... you can be a citizen... make repeated applications over years and still be rejected..

    An example... first hand experience... I was born here to parents that were born here, to grandparents that legally immegrated and got citizenship over 80 years ago. It still cost tme over $5,000 (and that was 20 years ago) and over 2 years to get my wife here legally, and even then that took political connections or it would have taken years longerand it was before 9/11 when all that changed and became much harder and more expensive.
