Hello

I am a woman,not married and 33 years old. I would like to ask,is it really possible to grow taller at this age? I am 1m 50 cm,would like to grow 7-10 cm.

Internet is full of useful and useless information. So I would like to get an answer from an experienced doctor who will end my thoughts about this.

If it is possible what are the ways? Surgery or naturally or pills etc ?

There are some very expensive and very painful surgery that can make a person taller, but I doubt it would even been considered at your height.

And no there is no magic pill or way to do this. If growing there was a hormone issue or some illness that effected your growth, you can discuss that with them. But juts with normal growth, this is about it. What was the height in your family, mom's, dad, grandparents ?

Thanks for the answer. My mom is at same height,maybe a little smaller,but my father is taller,around 1.80 cm.

So,it can be done with surgery only? No other way is possible?

At your age it's not even possible with surgery because your growth plates have fused.

Just remember that good things come in small packages.

So,it is not possible in any way and I have to end my desire about growing taller? :(

But,I have difficulty to forget about it,it really gives me discomfort.

What do you suggest?

At 33 years old you are done growing, there is no way you will get any taller at this point in your life.

At your age you the growth plates in your bones have set and so you cannot gain height by pills or any other means besides a very painful (and expensive nearly 150,000 USD) operation called Symmetric Extended Limb Lengthening which is not like a simple cosmetic procedure. It's a grueling orthopedic surgery which breaks the bones in your leg and stretches it over several weeks (called "distraction" of the bone) which allows new bone tissue to grow in the spaces. . A maximum of typically 5 centimetres is possible and it will take 6 months before you can walk again and approximately 1 year for the bone to completely harden. Side effects are nerve, vascular or muscular damage potential (even loss of limb/paralysis).

What if you decided to accept yourself as you are? Think of how easy your life would be -- because how attractive you are is not measured in inches - it's all about your attitude and charisma. PLENTY of shorter people go on to great sex appeal, success, money and fame.

I am not much taller than you and I have a GORGEOUS friend who has done petite modeling who is around your height Joan d'Arc was your height, and stars like Kristen Chenoweth, Charlene Tilton, Lil Kim, Tila Taquila, -et.c. etc. are too!
