    Bank account has been frozen!
I just found out that my bank account has been frozen. There is a judgement against me. To pay an old credit card. What I am worried about is, I adopted 3 boys. And I get subsidy for each child. Can I just go there to cash my check? Or will they try and take the money? I opened the account for a little trust fund for my Grandson. So I go there to deposit a little in his account and receive the rest in cash. Now I am just worried if I can just cash the check. Don't know where else to go and cash it.

There are very few things that can't be seized... as it is yes they will try and take THEIR money as they have been awarded a judgement and the right to take it where they can find it. That isn't a trust fund.. that's money you owe them... once they get the amount of their judgement which is reflected in their writ of garnishment... they can't take a dime more.

Its up to YOU to prove what and how much is legally exempt from seizure, until you can or if its co-mingled with money that's fair game.. they can and will continue to take it.

How much do you still owe them?

Most likely they will not cash the check, they cash a check normally if you have money in your account to cover it, So first I doubt they will cash it.
