    Memory Upgrade
I have just upgraded the memory (128 EDO) in my Dell Latitude CPi D300 to bring it to 192MB. My BIOS states that I have 192, but my system shows 128. What causes this.

Mismatched RAM speeds normally causes this issue, especially with older RAM sticks.
Are both sticks the same speed ?

No. One is a 128 and one a 64. So would I have to purchase another 128?

128 and 64 are capacities not speeds. But you often have to add memory in pairs. So you can't mix two different capacites either. You need to check with Dell to confirm that.

Scott here is what Dell has to say.

"I understand that you have installed two Memory in your system 128 and 64. Your BIOS is showing 194 MB but your system hasn't. It showing only 128 MB.

I would like to inform you that the 64 MB that is not showing is used in the graphic."

    Is this just lost memory?

What its saying is that you have shared video memory. So 64M is being used by your Video board and 128 by your system.
