    1998 Honda Accord.. will crank but won't start.. Please help!
    I have a 1998 Honda accord with a new transmission and rebuilt motor. Will crank but won't start. It was siting for about a year before anything was replaced. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    . Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

    . Check for codes.

    . Verify that the CEL comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II). If it does, then focus on the distributor. Replacing the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil inside the distributor housing usually solves the problem. Verify that the distributor housing is a genuine Honda component--all others are suspect.

    . Ensure the fuel is fresh.
