    Apartment relocation
My landlady came last week to inform us that she was selling the condo we live in and gave us, in writing, notice to vacate. Yesterday she came with the appraiser to evaluate the apartment. Are we due any relocation fees? We've been here almost four years, and is willing to give back our deposit.

NO, if you have a lease, she cannot make you move, she could buy out your lease, but if you are just renting, no, she gives you notice and if you don't move they evict you.

The only issue here could be if you live in some specific cities and are under a rent control law.

First, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area. Second, how much notice were you given? Third is there a lease in effect or where you month to month?
