    Low hcg 6 weeks pregnant
    Hi

I'm 6 weeks pregnant according to my LMP. I felt I was pregnant because I had missed my period, I went to the loo more often and was hungry at all times.
I did urine test at home thrice but the result was negative. I went for a blood test 3 days ago and the doctor said that I was pregnant but had low hcg levels. And asked me to repeat the test after a week.
Please explain what that means? Does this mean I will end up in a miscarriage?

Another reading is necessary to determine if a level on the lower side is a concern. There is a wide range of what falls into the normal range, and it is possible that you are very early in your pregnancy in which case a low level would not be uncommon.

What did your doctor tell you was possibly going on? You are still within the norm, but since the level has decreased, odds would be that your doctor will be scheduling an ultrasound as this can give them a better indication of how things might be going.
