What do I do about my best friend?
Two of my best friends had a relationship for about three years. I always told them it wouldn't work... and all of my other friends told them the same thing, but they held on for a long time. Now, it appears they broke up, but she had to tell me because he wouldn't tell anybody they had broken up. Apparently he has lied to some of my other friends saying they are still together, and he always gets touchy around her like she used to let him while they were together. It is really awkward for her, and I hate to see him put her in that situation. I'm contemplating beating the Sh*t out of him, but I want other people's opinions first.

I think you stay out of this. Beating some one up is just foolish and you are the one that would end up in trouble. This is not a wise way to settle anything.

He's stalking/messing with/botherign somebody I care about a great deal... and he isn't going top stop. She's not the kind of person to tell him to back off... if I don't intervene, he won't stop until something happens. I'm not tryign to say 'this isn't the answer I want,' but honestly, I've considered that option... and I just care about her too much to leave her hanging with this problem.

She can file charges against him. Why are her parents not involved in this. This is not your problem to handle. How old is she?

She's 18... and she's not the kind of person who will file a charge against him. She's too kind. Anyway, her parents are in the 'let them mess it up their own way and stay out of the situation,' stage... if you know what I mean. Anyway, I'll just stay out of it. I gave your posts some thought... and you're right. Mixing myself up in it would just be stupid. I'll just have to be there for her if she needs me.
    Thanks.
