My dog cannot get himself to laydown and sleep?
About 2 weeks ago my 7 year old German Shepherd woke up suddenly in the middle of the night crying as if someone was hurting him. I thought he had to go out to pee but no, then I saw his left hind leg as if it had a cramp but neither that was the case and so we had a long night. The following morning took him to the vet, he had a fever they hydrated him with IV fluids and gave him anti-inflamatory meds, antibiotics and Prednisone. Well his condition got worse, we took him to get X-Rays, Ultrasound and we are pending for Biopsy results. Overall his condition improved, except for his fear of laying down to sleep, take a nap etc. He paces around the house desiring to sleep but he expresses having pain even to the touch. Please help?
