Walking Boot?
I severely sprained my ankle and the doctor said I need to immobilize it so she got me a brace. The brace keeps my ankle at a 90 degree ankle but I'm not sure if it has enough support for my ankle. Me and my mom were thinking of getting me a boot because I have to go to NYC in a few days and I'm going to be walking a lot. Should I just keep the brace or should I get a boot? The brace doesn't feel like its supporting my ankle enough so it still hurts. This is the boot we were thinking of getting me: http://www.braceshop.com/productcart/pc/Medtherapies-Ultra-2-Tall-Walking-Boot-16p27950.htm
Also do you know of any stores where we can buy one? Our spending limit is $50 because my sister needs braces. Please and thank you!

Are you sure you should go and do that much walking with a severely sprained ankle?
You should call your Doctor first thing Monday and ask her about it.
You could delay healing if you don't follow what she says.

Yes what did your doctor say about that much walking ? Perhaps crutches instead ?

Should I get a Walking Boot?
I sprained my ankle about a month ago but it's still purple and swollen. I got an ankle brace for it but it still really hurts to walk. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow but I'm wondering if I would get walking boot. The first doctor I went to was a pediatrist and he said I severely sprained it but he didn't say what grade it was or do anything for it besides tell me to use the RICE method. It hasn't done anything. Tomorrow I'm going to a podiatrist and on the phone he asked what kind of brace I had and mentioned something about some walking boots that he uses to treat patients so I don't know if he is planning to give me one or not. My foot is purple and swollen around my fibia. Does it sound like I'll need a walking boot or not?

Walking boots still need crutches; if you are the poster from before. I remember your posts, but if you are still swollen, the walking boots will not do anything but keep your ankle hot and swollen.

Why do you have a obsession with walking boots. If it is broke, and has been broke for a month, they may have to do surgery or may have to put a real cast on it.
Also please stop asking the same question over and over and over. You have asked this about 5 times now.

I've only asked it twice and the first time was for a different injury and it was reported so many times by accident because my iPad glitches and it somehow posted it many times. By the way I broke my fibula so I have to wear a boot for 6 weeks then get a cast if that doesn't work.

I am deploying IE7 via a GPO in a Windows 2003 domain. The policy works fine. But only on a second boot of the Windows XP clients. (WindowsXP only environment). This seems totally silly to me. Shouldn't all policies be applied on every boot?
How can I force the policy to be applied on...
