    What could this liquid be?
I just got my cat a new bed and suddenly it's covered and soaked in something oily and strong smelling, but not like ammonia smell? Spraying cat (she's a young female)? What could this be?

Urine and even spray don't fit that description. Could something have spilled on the cat bed? If you have found it somewhere else, what would you have decided it was? How much of this liquid do you think is there? A fourth cup? A cup? More than that?

I haven't found anything around that could have spilled. The bed is away from shelves, etc. that have spillables on them.I haven't found it anywhere else. And it's at least a cup -- the bed was thoroughly soaked through.

I can only describe it as musky.

This cat adopted us a month ago (long story) and I know nothing about cats, so a few spoken answers from her would be good, yes.

Spray could be musky. She could have sprayed it to bless it and make it her own.

Is she spayed? If not, do that very soon.
