    I am 15 and I am 2 months pregnant...
    I don't know what I need to do o insure that my home isup to par with South Carolina dss standards. What do I need to do I want to keep my baby. Please help.

    Are you still living at home with your guardian(s)? Have you been in touch with any organizations that counsel and support teen mothers?

    Why is DSS going to be involved to start with, why will they be coming to your home to inspect ? They don't just inspect unless there are reasons for them to be concerned

    A 15 year old doesn't ordinarily have a home of her own. Whose home are you talking about?

    I still live with my mom but someone told me that dss comes out after the baby is born..

    No DSS does not go to your home, unless you have been reported or there is a fear the child is not going to be taken care of properly.

    And if they would come out, they may want to be sure you know how to care for an infant, that the home is safe and clean.

    Also depending on where you live, 15 is under the age of consent in most places, so the bio father in many places is guilty of rape, so they may get involved in wanting to go after the father or look into it.
