    Children in House playing
We have a 16 months daughter that has started to walk a run recently. Since we stay on top floor our downstairs neighbor has a problem with this running and playing.
I cannot convey to my daughter that she cannot play in house and neither I can take her out every time she wants to play(night time, rain). Questions are

    1) What if my neighbor calls the POLICE and complains about this ? What options do I have available ? (Neighbor especially being drunk and abusive)

    2) What else can he do about this ?

Oh I know what that's like being above someone as well as below them in apartments.
Talk to your fellow dwellers of place, over coffee etc and I am sure that you can work this out. It is what I ended up doing with mine, who knows they might even be glad to have friends so close by.

In addition to tinsigns response, maybe you could also ciome to some arrangement as to what time of day they wouldn't mind your child playing.

    Hello Chotu:

    1) If your daughter isn't running around at 2:00 AM, there's NOTHING he can do. 2) Read answer number #1 again.

    I agree with excon.

Here in Ontario I believe the noise by-laws say 11pm. So if it's before 11pm, but after 8am, you are in the clear. If not, then that is a problem.

And of course, noise by-law rules will vary depending on where you do live.
