I remember a movie from when I was a kid (probably late 80s early 90s) where a boy captures an animatronic puppet and takes a stone or jewel of the creatures. At this point the creature demands it back in broken english along the lines of "give me lumen" very strange word and hope I'm right or it will only serve to throw people off! From there I vaguely remember the government? Trying to steal the creature from the boy and his girlfriend and eventually getting hold of the stone that the creature needs to have in his possession before sunrise or he will turn to stone. Spoiler alert... at the end he does manage to get the jewel back but also ends up turning to stone just as the sun comes up... big soppy ending ensues... I've searched Google thoroughly, time after time and the only thing I really have to go on is the creature keeps on saying (I believe) "give me lumen". Of which there seems to be no trace! Any help would be vastly appreciatted
