    Delta 1400 Series Cartridge Replacement
I am trying to change the cartridge in a Delta tub/shower single handle faucet. I have two others just like it, and the handles come off easily, but not on the unit I am trying to repair. I have completely removed the set screw and been soaking the shaft with penetrating oil through the screw hole. I still can't get it to budge. On the suggestion of a friend, I wrapped a rag around it and used my battery powered hammer on it to try to break up any corrosion that may be keeping it together. No go. I am now at a loss. Any suggestions out there?

    Hi Garreth

Purchase a HANDLE PULLER at any local home improvement store if you have a particularly stubborn handle to remove... see image. These are cheap (about $15.00) and work like a charm!

    Good luck!
