    I have been abandoned and cannot serve my spouse with divorce papers what can I do
    I have been abandaned and want to divorce my spouse but I can't find him. We have not lived as man and wife since 2004. However, he has returned several times not staying longer than three months at one time. I no longer wish to be married and have no way of contacting him. What are the steps I need to take to legally divorce him.

    We have no children and no property that would need to be disputed.

    First where are you. Divorce laws vary. Most states now have no-fault divorce. Generally living apart for 8 years may qualify you.
