    Can I sue police for making bad threats about taking my kids
    I had cops come to my house to give me a ticket for giving false information (which is all a big misunderstanding). But the came in the morning so my 2 year old and 5 year old were here and got to hear everything. They threatened to take me to jail and the assisting officer stated and I quote "we will take your kids and put them in foster care. We don't care." My 5 year old is ADHD, was kidnapped by his biological father and is in therapy for everything that has happened to the poor kid. That freaked him out when he heard the cop say that they will take him away. He does not want to be taken away from me again. Can I sue or file a complaint against that officer who said that? He did nothing but traumatize my son more that he already has been.

    You can file a complaint with the officer's superior.But no there are no grounds for a successful suit.
