    Getting weighed
Please understand that I am asking this question in all sincerity and that I am not trying to be suggestive or smart or anything else of the kind. I’ve recently started going for yearly checkups and the first thing that’s done as part of my checkup before I see the doctor is that except for my shoes I’m weighed fully clothed. How accurate can this be? Wouldn’t it be better, not to mention more accurate, if I was weighed unclothed? Or are there rules and/or regulations of some type governing how this is to be done? Thank you for your time and understanding.

Yes, completely nude would show a more exact, there is an assumption of weight of clothes and it is not exact. But then for most people give or take a few pounds really is not a issue.

Accuracy of an in-office weigh in is not that important. It is simply a gauge. A doctor will look at a history of readings. And do you really want to strip down for a weigh in? If YOU want a more accurate reading, then dress for the exam in light weight clothes.
