    Pregnancy
    Hey there,
I was curious and so I found this. I haven't been to a doctor yet and I think I'm pregnant. I haven't had a period since February but when I took a pregnancy test 2 days ago, I got a faint positive. I'm not quite sure what that means. Could I have gotten pregnant sometime in march or even possibly here in April?

    Hi Crimson8869... welcome to AMHD,

Yes, it is possible that you are pregnant and it could have happened in March or April. Usually, however, if you were quite far along, you would have a more obvious positive result.

One very important question: Did you read the test result in the time frame stated on the test? Reading it later can sometimes result in an invalid reading that can look like a faint positive.

If you are normally regular with your periods, it would be wise to see your gyn. They will do a pregnancy test there and possibly an ultrasound. If you are pregnant, they will discuss what to expect with your prenatal visits. If you aren't pregnant they may want to try and determine another possible cause for the lack of periods. This will likely include some blood work.

If you are trying to become pregnant, or even if you aren't since it could happen unexpectedly, it would be wise to start taking either a prenatal vitamin or multivitamin. The folic acid in the vitamin can help prevent some types of birth defects should you become pregnant.
