    Greentree & Mobile Home Repo
I recently started being deliquent on my mobile home payments to Greentree because of a poor financial decision. I purchased a new home before selling or renting out the mobile home, but a relative promised to pay the mobile home mortgage until I sold or rented it. Due to sudden medical problems, the relative was only able to pay first four months of 07. My delinquent monthly payments to Greentree have not been 30 days or more late but I've not been able to pay by the due date and they call each day that the payment is late. The Greentree representative Mrs. James is very rude and harasses me by calling continuously if I don't answer the phone at home and I've also informed her not to call me at work and to put her actions in writing. She even went so far as to call my neighbor to have him give me a message to call her immediately because my phone was disconnected. It was not, I was sending a fax. September's payment is currently due but I can only pay half now and half before the next payment is due. Greentree refuses to work with me and I think they may reposes the mobile home. Can they reposes and what if anything can I do to stop the harassing phone calls.

I am in a similar situation with Green Tree. I had medical expenses and fell behind in my payment. They now are calling everyone who is related to me and continuing to harass my entire family. I went as far as to find a buyer for my land and mobile home and even had a contract on it. Green Tree was unwilling to work with me and the buyer to complete the transaction. I ended up losing the contract with the buyer and ultimately lost the mobile home. You cannot stop the rudeness of Green Tree collectors. There is NO government support for those in mobile home loans. Green Tree knows this and is taking advantage of us. Sorry I am no help. I am now researching options like Chapter 13.
