So my girlfriend (who lives an hour away) has recently gotten a new job and it has consumed her. She went away for a weekend with her boss for work purposes and when she came back she said she needed space.

We've been together for a year and everything up until this point was awesome. I feel like I need to give her that space but I'm still chatting casually to her.

My only fear is she will become comfortable with this and there will be no chance of rekindling our relationship. I want to confront her about this 'space' issue but she will most likely get angry and it will push her away. Any tips?

Yes, if you give her what she wants, there is a small possibility that she will came back on her own after she notices she misses you. However, if you don't respect her petition I can guarantee that she will leave. The best thing to do on your part in case things go sour, is to go NO contact and plan doing it for the rest of your life.

Yes, you should give her the space she wants. If you can't deal with it, you should end it all together and move on with your life.

Give her exactly what she wants. I've been there, done that. It hurts and it sucks, but what can you do? Ultimately, you have no choice but to.

Of course you give her all the space she needs, and she can let you know when she has had enough, after you drop the casual chit chat and leave her completely alone.

Give her all damn space she ask for, go find someone that wants to be in your life. People kill me with this "I need space sh*t" then when the grass isn't as green as they thought on the other side they want to come back.
