    State Uni won't pay
I have an invoice due from a university (state funded) for some work that I did. Their accounts payable came back and told me that they cannot pay me due to "overdue child support". They use my ss# from my W9. Is there any other way to get paid from them using my EIN #?

They said my ss# pulls from the state, and cannot pay me until my arrears are paid in full.
I wish they would have told me prior to doing the work.

First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. To avoid confusion your question ha been moved to its own thread.

Sure they can pay you, they just have to deduct your arrears and pay that amount to the state.

And why are you in arrears in the first place?
