    Implanon injections?
    Hi I am wondering if I can get the Implanon in my arm when I don't have my period at the moment..

    It's possible, but your doctor will want to do a pregnancy test first.

    Oh OK. Well I had unprotected sex yesterday and if I get the bar in my arm will that reduce the chance of being pregnant?

    No, it will have nothing to do with a current pregnancy if you are pregnant. However, since you just had sex yesterday, it would be too early to tell whether you are pregnant.

    The best advice I can give you, as a nurse, would be to make an appointment with your OB/GYN to discuss your birth control options.
