    HIPAA Violation
As an insurance agent, our company requests that we get an employee roster from the employer we are doing business with that only includes the employee's first and last name and their hire date. We do this for quality control to make sure the employee has been on the job long enough to benefit from the products we offer. Is this a violation of HIPAA?

No, first they are not a medical firm ( unless they are) and next it contains no medical information.
