Bright red hair... with a side of pink

I always have dyed my hair red myself. Sick of trying to keep up with the roots I went back to my natural color dark brown. I got bored with that fast and had Carmel highlights put in on two occasions at the salon. I wanted to go back red, but a brighter more intense red. Bought the stuff at Sallys beauty supply my roots are now bright red, the back and the highlighted areas are peachy pink. How can I get it all one even bright red color?
