You refuse to accept it and if you have collision coverage ( more than liability) turn it over to them, if not, sue them for the payment, of couse they don't want to pay all or any of it, they are working for the other driver.

You have absolutely no say in what your insurance company pays and doesn't pay. I've investigated accidents for a long time, and I've never heard of this.
You don't need to admit anything. The company says you were 50% responsible and pays the other 50%. Nothing unusual there.
Will your insurance go up? Depends on the company - probably, yes.
What company said you have to accept liability or they won't pay?

That is (I think) was it your insurer or the other insurer?

I've never seen either company say, "You agree to this or we won't pay." They send a check in the amount for which they THINK they are responsible - and then it's your call what to do next.
I don't know which company OP is talking about - ?

I think we are asking OP the same question. In other words, we don't care to know the name of the company, but rather whether it insures the OP or the other party. Right?

Right on (although if a company is using this tactic, I'd like to know but, I agree - the name is not necessary). Occasionally I run across a rogue adjuster, almost always with one company. I ran across one adjuster who convinced an injured party that things would go more in the injured party's favor IF the adjuster's brother, an Attorney, represented him because he could get access to the adjuster's file.
Go figure.

If it could be proven that the attorney was aware of what his Brother, the Rogue Aduster, was trying to do, the attorney could be disciplined.
In this post, I have decided to be a Rogue Improper Noun- Adjuster. Or a Rogue Improper Noun phrase- Adjuster, as the case may be. :)
