    VOP in Texas
My boyfriend violated his probation by not reporting, failing a UA test & not doing community service. At that time he didn't have a car or a job so he didn't have a way to pay the fines or get to where he needed to go. Well he was arrested on march 22, he was pulled over for speeding & they took him in when a warrant came up because he violated probation. He didn't catch any new charges & he's actually doing better in his life. Recently purchased a car, working & starting college. He has court next Wednesday. Any idea of what can happen?

By the way the reason he was put on probation was because he was charged with burg of building so he's on deferred probation. Supposed to be on it for 3 yrs.

I would say any "deferred deal will be off" so if there plea deal was for charges to be dropped if he did probation, he will face a full sentence.

Next if he was doing better, he would have been going at least recently to the PO, so was he going at all ? He failed a UA, he had money for that, but not to pay to PO??

Sorry he is making sad excuses and the judge will care less. He had better come up with a better story of this for the judge.

With three violations and not trying to show up since things have gotten better, most likely will be held about 4 to 6 weeks to a hearing and perhaps given another chance for probatoin but on tight control. But a couple months jail is a possible at court also.

Thank you. I really appreciate the information.

& also when he started getting back on his feet he didn't get in contact with his PO. Very stupid of him I know. & with the UA test he took that in the first few months he was on probation. In the beginning he was paying everything & doing everything right. Then he lost his job & car & that's when he went down hill from there.

I'm really hoping they reinstate his probation, I think now after this experience he will straighten out. I understand it's up to the judge though. Does his PO have a say in what happens also?
