    Hot Surface
Is it safe even though our ref's side surface is too hot?
We noticed this after we sent our unit for repair. After it stopped from cooling and making ice. It was very hot compared before it was sent for repair.

Because I'm bothered every time I touch the side of our ref, its too hot. Just asking if this is normal, because its not this hot like before it was serviced. Thanks

That is normal. The hot gas line and /or liquid line is routed in a way to keep ice from forming and to make it more efficient. Sometimes there are electric heaters around the freezer door, too, to keep ice from forming. Make sure coils are clean on bottom of unit. Clean them often with soap and water. I spray water from water hose and vacuum up water with wet vac.

Make sure you clean those coils and you will see it cool down. It will also be hotter when the door is opened a lot.
