How does a person earn trust from a spouse?
I went through a bad time for about six months. Smoking and gambling. Lying to my husband where I was and saying I wasn't smoking. For the past three months I've been "clean" and am having a hard time getting my husband to trust me again. He checks my purse and car for cigarettes every day and I need to give him receipts of money I've spent so he sees I'm not buying cigarettes. If he catches me in a lie again, our relationship is over. Is he doing the right thing trying to trust me again by doing these things?
