    Leaking head gasket repair cost
    Hi,

    I have a 1995 Nissan Altima GXE. I took my car in for an oil change and the mechanic says I have a leaking head gasket. I had my radiator replaced, and he says the pressure fluctuations caused by the leaky head gasket have caused the radiator gasket to go bad so the radiator has to be replaced again! Can the radiator be affected by a leaky head gasket in this way?

    Radiator gasket? Is the car overheating or using a lot of coolant?

    Hi,

    The car has not overheated, and when I check underneath the car in my parking space, I see no fluids dripping of wet spots on the pavement. The coolant level is about normal. I am a bit puzzled by my mechanic's diagnosis. He didn't explain a whole lot as to how it is he came up with it. I do see that there is a little bit of moisture near the engine block seal, but not drops.

    If the car runs well, doesn't use fluids and doesn't overheat, just drive it.
