    Hot water heater piping
Hi I just moved into a place and the pressure in both the hot and cold water was fne. Then there were a few leaks and some plumbers came to fix it. They replaced a whole bunch of pipes and now I can't remember what was there before. Now the hot water pressure is really low and the cold water is fine. I'm not sure if they put in bigger pipes to reduce the pressure but the pipe going into the hot water is much bigger than the pipe going out. Would this make a difference?

It shouldn't make all that much difference, As a rule both inlet and outlet pipes are 3/4". Does every hot water faucet have low pressure? Do you have heat trap nipples installed? (see image) Let me know Topm

Hi. Thanks for your help. Yes every hot water faucet has low pressure. I don't think there are heat trap nipples installed. I can't see them anywhere. I live in uganda... they probably don't have them here anyway
