Is it okay in Texas for an 14 to date an 18 with her parent permission
Ok my daughter 14 years old started dating a 18yrs old boy, as her parent I have given them my permission to date. We live in Texas. But his mother will not allow him to date her because she is afraid of it been illegal or him getting charge with dating her. Is it legal for them to date with my
    Permission n not his mother?

    You are in TEXAS.
I'd stay well clear until the girl is MUCH older!!

While there are no laws governing dating ages there are governing sexual relations.
Also what does an 18 year old ADULT have in common with a 14 year old CHILD.
    Come on be a parent!!

It isn't illegal to date, but it would be illegal for them to have sex. But a responsible parent would not let a 14 yr old date an 18 year old. A responsible 18 yr old would find very little in common with an 14 yr old.

A good parent would never allow a 14 year old child date a 18 year old man. This could be used by a non custodial parent to even seek a change of custody for putting the child at risk.

The law is for sex, but we all know what 18 year old men would be wanting before too long.
