    I'm trying to figure out if somebody can be emancipated at the age of 14 or 15 in the state of Indiana?

    Indiana has no specific laws re: emancipation. It's a case-by-case judgment by a Judge.

    The minor needs to prove -

    1. He/she WANTS to be free from parental protection;

    2 - no longer needs parental supervision/control;

    3 - this is permanent and he/she is now legally responsible for himself/herself AND THAT INCLUDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT;

    4 - has sufficient money to support himself/herself;

    5 - can live - and has plans and arrangements in place - to live INDEPENDENTLY.

    An Attorney can help you. Of course, if it's a situation which is dangerous for the minor CPS or a similar service can step in.

    Yes, do you have

    1. money saved to pay for court costs and to move out.
    2. a job to afford your own apartment and living costs.
    3. A plan you can prove that shows you can continue your education and still work and support yourself.
    4 prove a reason you need to be. Normlly just not wanting to live there is not a accepted reason
