You had sex, so yes, pregnancy is possible. Even with protection pregnancy is possible. You had unprotected sex, so you increased the odds considerably.

The next step is taking a pregnancy test. Use first morning urine, and follow the directions exactly.

Brown discharge indicates old blood. It's not a period. It really doesn't indicate much, other than old blood.

If you're not using protection, then I have to ask. Are you trying to conceive? If you're not, then it's inevitable without protection. So pregnancy is definitely possible. Fact is, it take the average couple, trying to conceive, one or two years.

You've been having unprotected sex for a year now. If you're not trying to conceive, then you dodged a lot of bullets. It's possible that this time the gun didn't load onto an empty chamber.

Even with protection pregnancy is possible. In fact, if I had a penny for every person that I know personally that got pregnant while on one, two, even three forms of birth control, I'd be rich. The fact that you had unprotected sex makes it even more likely.

You'll have to test and see. That's really all you can do. If you're not trying to conceive, and you get lucky this time, then you can lower (not eliminate) the odds by using at least one, two is better, forms of birth control. The pill and a condom is recommended, but not 100% effective.

Fact is, if you have sex, even protected sex, you can get pregnant. If you're having unprotected sex, then you're "trying to conceive".

Try it using first morning urine. A false negative is common. Using first morning urine is more accurate.

Just so you know, it could be too early to test. A blood test at your doctors office is the most accurate. Even then, if it's too early, it can result in a false negative.

If you're okay with it happening, then be prepared, it will happen if you continue to have unprotected sex. Are you really ready for this? I have two kids. I was married, financially secure, 27, and both babies were planned. I thought I was ready, but damn, those little buggers sure can be a challenge! ;)

Not trying to burst your bubble. It's just that "If it happens it happens", worries me a bit. Kids aren't only expensive, they're life changing. My son is now 13, and the teen years may be the death of us both. ;)

I'm crossing my fingers for you.

Since we're here. Tell me the truth. Are you hoping it's positive? I have a feeling you are, and I'm crossing my fingers that you get what you want.

Don't be discouraged by negatives at this point. It's still way early to test. Blood tests aren't 100% either. They're just more accurate than a home urine test, but they can give a false negative as well.

    Thanks for keeping me posted.

I hope that some concrete news is on the way, one way or another. :)

I still haven't started. I don't Understand it. So blood work isn't 100% right. Yes I would love to be pregnant.

A blood test is more accurate than a urine test, but it isn't 100% accurate all the time. It could be that it's too early to test, or you hcg levels are too low, or it could be that you're just having an off month. Happens to all of us at one time or another.
