Difference in rape between a 12 year old and a 60 year old
Is there a difference between the rape of a 12 year old girl and the rape of a 60 year old woman? Is there a difference if both were physically forced into having sex? Is there a difference if both were psychologically forced into having sex? There must be some differences because 12 and 60 year old females and males are very different. But there also must be many similarities, because being raped is always extremely traumatic!

Any and all input is apreciated at this point

Can I ask why you are asking this question?

Yes there is a difference because different laws apply. Sex with a minor where physically forced or not is covered by a different set of laws then sex with an adult. Also a minor under the age of consent (and 12 would be under the age of consent) cannot legally consent to sex which a 670 yr old can so proving that she was "psychologically" forced is much harder.

Finally laws vary by area, so location may be important. And the age of the rapist may have a bearing.

    Hello I:

Yes, and no. But, in terms of YOUR situation, which I'm only GUESSING about, they're the SAME. In other words, the cops should pursue the perpetrators of BOTH rapes with equal vigor.

If they're NOT, tell us why, and we'll advise...

Actually from the legal side of things even the 60 year old may be protected under special laws of the abuse of the elderly. But the 12 year old does for sure have specific laws dealing with this. You would expect a longer prison time for the 12 year old. Also since many inmates have kids, the rapist of kids often have it much worst in prison once they are there.

As for as the emotional harm to the person, that can not be determined by age along, social and culture teachings, support groups after all make a difference.
