If it didn't work when you to go out, it isn't going to work now. If a relationship has problems, they aren't just going to go away if you don't solve them. Does she love him? It's sad, but we all have to move on in life. You shouldn't take her happiness away because you feel jealous or upset. Maybe she is being y because she feels threatened by your connection to him, and how you feel. She might have noticed the tension between you and herself and that could be another cause to it. I have been in a similar situation with my ex and a close friend, and the best thing you can do is talk to her about it. Do not say or do anything that could be seen as aggressive or angry- doing that could mean losing both of them. Tell her you still have feelings for him and you are upset that she has been saying those things. She will probably listen, you are her best friend. Openness is the best policy. Tension will only make things worse. If you can talk about it calmly, to each other's faces, you might be able to come to some sort of conclusion.

Your ex- you should probably move on. If he loves you he wouldn't go out with your best friend, or treat her like that behind her back. Would you like it if you were in her position? I know you have feelings for him, but he has moved on enough to be with another girl, and that shows his feelings may have faded.

Your friend- Don't be angry at her. When we are angry, we all say stupid and cruel things we do not mean. Try and treat her how you would want to be treated. It's hard when you see red, but it really will ease the tension. Do NOT try 'A taste of her own medicine' as this will only cause more upset and in the end, you will only lose out.It could save your friendship if you try and handle this in a way which will let her see how you feel.

I hope this will help, I honestly know what you are going through. X
