    If the father does not sign the birth certificate, can and what rights does he have to the child?:confused:

    Signing the birth certificate has no effect on his rights or reponsibilities. It might require a paternity test to exercise the rights though.

    He has all the same rights as if he had signed,

    Signing the birth certificate just gives him the rights without having to prove DNA relationship. But he can have all the same custody, visitation rights as if he was on the birth certificate.

    You need to get a custody order in place ASAP.
